What to check on an Old Northeast address

Historic fabric means inspections matter. Roof age, knob-and-tube or outdated electric, flood on streets closer to the bay, driveway and parking, and any local historic-review rules if you plan to change the elevation or the facade. Insurance quotes should be in hand before you write. A charming porch does not tell you whether the loan will treat the property as a straightforward single-family home.

Water-adjacent blocks need the same flood conversation as any Tampa Bay coastal street: zone, elevation, premium, and whether the payment still works. Inland bungalow blocks can be a different insurance story. Jonathan will not average them.
